Home Visit

Physiotherapy in the Comfort of Your Pet’s Home

For some pets, travelling to a clinic can be difficult or stressful. Home visit physiotherapy offers the same professional, evidence-based physiotherapy service in the comfort of your pet’s familiar environment, helping to reduce stress while still providing effective treatment.

Home visits are offered on a case-by-case basis and are suitable for pets who would benefit from receiving treatment at home.

What Does a Home Visit Include?

A home visit is a normal physiotherapy session, tailored to your pet’s individual needs. Appointments may include:

  • Full physiotherapy assessment and reassessment

  • Manual therapy (massage and soft tissue techniques)

  • Therapeutic and remedial exercise programmes

  • Pain management strategies

  • Electrotherapies where appropriate, including:

    • K-Laser therapy

    • Therapeutic ultrasound

    • TENS and NMES

    • PEMF therapy

    • Heat or cold therapy

  • Advice on home management, exercise modification and environment setup

All treatment plans are adapted to your pet’s condition, tolerance and home environment.

Which Pets Are Suitable for Home Visits?

Home visit physiotherapy may be recommended for pets who:

  • Are on crate rest or have restricted movement

  • Are unable to travel comfortably or safely

  • Are reactive or highly anxious in new environments

  • Have an extreme fear of veterinary or clinical settings

Suitability is assessed on an individual basis to ensure home visits are safe and effective.
